Cocoa Asia
Cocoa mystery. There are so many moving parts to the cocoa market especially where West Africa is concerned that it will be interesting who is the ultimate choco holic. Could be somebody is trying to make a point about something.
Asia is mentioned as a source of demand but don't forget Indonesia, India, Malaysia grow cocoa too and are looking at up stream so supply will be there too. Why bring beans half way around the world when you can get them down the street?

New lobbying rule.
New rule. When a check from the government is cut for a grant, subsidy, or any tax payer financed enhancement to any group the money that the recipient gets is net after the amount that the group spent lobbying for the financial benefit is deducted. Grant for 2 less 1 records show spent on lobbying gives you 1.
Take some of the fun out of lobbying-just because sometimes it's good to be a pk.

Battery subsidies
Sounds like there was some proclamation that hybrid/battery is going to be the deal. So all you folks that think there actually might be a better way are S.O.L.
Batteries are a planners' delight forces us into terrible high density and saves non urban for the elites(planners).
If we wanted high density we wouldn't have moved out

Psychologists, climate U gotta' jst. read it IPA item
http://bit.ly/b5aFf2
quote: "So the IPCC's reports are not just dispassionate reviews of the scientific literature. They are riddled with economic assumptions, political judgements, and ethical and moral assessments."- It really is worth the read.
I really love this :"People tend to underestimate the value of labour-saving practices. They overlook the benefits of free trade. They believe the economy is always in decline, and they undervalue the social benefits of the voluntary interaction in the marketplace." also from IPA item

Heightened event risk as ECB excess liquidity shrinks
http://bit.ly/aCpAV0
"There has been a liquidity surplus of €340 billion and it has come down to around €100 billion. A surplus of €100 billion sounds like a lot of money, but at the start of a new reserves period it can disappear, and anyone who needs short-dated cash will just find it's not there. Consequently, rates can go quite sharply higher. There's certainly a lot of event risk with the ECB right now."-thanks Risk.net

I like oil companies
I'm not in the oil & gas industry. Started following the oil market got more into gaining an understanding of the whole thing. A lot of moving parts. What I really don't get is the attitude toward the people that keep the whole thing (world) running. Without oil civilization is not going to happen, that's just the way it is.
In these times of high unemployment the oil & gas industry can be a world wide machine for creating employment. They got cash for investment, investment creates jobs let them get on with creating jobs, and not just on oil rigs. People in the oil & gas industry do a bunch of different things.
If all the oil drilling were stopped there still would be risk on the planet and risks for the planet. Ethanol from corn. Wait until you read that the water supply is damaged because of what trickled down to the aquafier from farming corn for ethanol. Just a possibility. Point is there is always a catch somewhere along the line. It is the real world not a politician's words.
Take away oil & gas and the whole thing stops it's a lot more than just energy. What are computers made of? How much of that stuff started out as crude oil? So lighten up on oil & gas cos. we need them, be nice to them.
Besides if you get it right, you can make some dough trading oil. Click oil banner scroll down on right side.Of course if you get it wrong you loose, so just use risk capital to trade. It doesn't take a ton of money a couple hundred U.S. gets you going on live trading. Demo acct. no charge try it. This just might be you.
